WATER VALLEY ARTS COUNCIL

Water Valley Arts Council hosts a Studio Crawl of eight locations of local artists.  This fundraiser is a Chair-ity Auction featuring cast-off chairs embellished by artists.  Proceeds of the event provide scholarships for children to attend the council's Summer Art Camp. It's free.

FULLER CENTER FOR HOUSING

Volunteers of Yalobusha County Fuller Center for Housing upgraded 10 county houses in 2008-09, adding roofs, porches, wheelchair ramps, and paint.  Recipients pay for supplies through no-interest loans from the organization.
